What is the purpous of the pH control?
- The pH level should be kept at 7.0 (neutral, natural water) with a maximum range between 6.8 and 7.2.
- The natural oxidation is pH-dependent with a significant decrease from pH 7.2.
- Oxygen converts calcium into bicarbonate, which makes the pH value more stable.
- Automatic pH control is part of the Oxytronix solution
What is the function of the O2 (Oxygen) cell?
- The Oxytronix 'O2 Cell' produces natural oxidizers OH, 01 & H2O2 which are more powerful than chlorine and ozone. These oxidizers are very unstable and are produced in a sealed oxygen chamber and not in the pool itself. This allows Oxytronix to produce extremely high levels of oxidation without any toxic side effects.
- The Oxytronix 'oxygen generator' also regenerates high concentrations of dissolved oxygen in the water. Oxygen is a stable oxidizer and provides a healthy and effective disinfection.
The Oxytronix technology is further combined with ionization as an algae control agent which is not affected by heat or sunlight unlike chlorine. - Chlorine, salt electrolysis and ozone generate disinfecting oxidants/oxygen radicals in the pool itself. Here is where Oxytronix unique is, since the production of powerful oxidants are produced in an enclosed chamber far away from the swimmers.
What is the function of the Cu (Copper) cell?
- Oxytronix uses ionization at a very low level and for approximately 5% of the filter time, this is so different from normal ionization systems that continuously release copper into the water resulting in very high, toxic concentrations.
- When starting up the system, the ionization is switched on for 24-48 hours to achieve a copper residue of 0.7 ppm.
- The World Health Organization considers copper concentrations above 2.5 ppm unacceptable, so 0.7 is less than found in some food supplements and not
harmful to health. - The copper residue is maintained by switching on the ionization 2-3 times a week after checking the copper content in the water (test kit is included). This requires less work and time and is less dangerous than dealing with dangerous chemicals. The anti-static bars have a lifespan of approximately 1-3 years depending on the size of the pool and the circulation times of the filter system.
